In order to advance to the higher levels of performance in Cal Ripken's Real Baseball, players must succeed in offense, defense, and base running. Your character will gain experience points by acquiring hits, striking out opposing batters, turning two on a double play or scoring runs. Your successful performance on the field will automatically calculate your "Experience Points" being earned - or lost - (Example: Pitcher gives up a home run) in the game!

Once you have played well enough to earn the necessary EXP, your character will be able to "Level Up" by allocating three experience points and one Skill Point to any of the attributes of your choice.

To view your EXP, visit your Character Info page on the www.ultimatebaseballonline.com site or inside the Locker Room on the client. EP Leveling up requirements can be found here and in the Levels section of the How To Play page.

Parameter points are the points you credit your characters with in order to enhance their different capabilities. These points also help define the type of character you want to build. With every level up, you will receive (3) PPs to allocate in any of the seven parameters. The following seven (7) categories will be available for enhancement every time you gain a new level.

Stamina: Adding points to Stamina will give you a longer speed burst in the out field. More importantly; for pitchers, Stamina increases the total pitch count your character will be able to maintain for top performance. This means, you can throw more pitches without getting tired and losing velocity.

Arm Strength:When points are added to Arm Strength, you will be able to increase the distance and strength in your character’s throws on the field. For pitchers, increasing Arm Strength will unlock more fastball pitch types along with increasing the velocity on all fastball pitches.

Body Strength:With every enhanced point added to the Body Strength parameter, your character will be able to hit the ball further, giving you a better chance to hit home runs.

Catching Range: The Catching Range parameter will enhance the surrounding area where your player will be able to catch the ball.

Throwing Accuracy: For pitchers, increasing your Throwing Accuracy will unlock more breaking and off-speed pitch types. As for pitchers and fielders, it also increases the chances that your throw will hit the intended target.

Quickness: Enhancing your character’s Quickness, gives you a faster reaction time while hitting, base running, as well as aiding in base stealing and sliding.

Speed:Adding points to your character’s speed will increase the overall speed of your player, both in the field and while base running. Defensively, speed helps you get to the ball faster with higher boosting rates.

*All PP allocation takes place in the Locker Room on the game client.

All Skill Point allocation takes place in the Locker Room in the game client. Once you have leveled up, allocate one (1) Skill Point in any of the available pitches for pitchers or in a specific hitting zone for batters.

Allocating these points will aide you in reaching maximum ability.

Straight pitches will be thrown harder, while breaking pitches will have more “bite.” Hitting zone allocation will increase the percentage of contact within that zone.

Your career records and statistics for your character will be recorded in this section of the Personal Info in the Cal Ripken's Real Baseball Book. Both hitting and pitching statistics will be recorded here.

Using your total hits and dividing them by your total at-bats, your batting average will be automatically calculated. Dividing total runs by innings pitched and multiplying that number by nine calculates your ERA.
