| Cal Ripken's Real Baseball Rookie Challenges are fun and educational tournaments, which are intended for newer players and are designed to get them ready for the big leagues and the tournament system. Challenges consist of three rounds of single elimination action; all three rounds are played out in succession to crown the top team on the same evening of the tournament’s start! Challenges are a great way to hone your skills to become a better player, unlike the practice or pick-up servers you are required to play against players with similar skills and levels as your character and at the same time earning experience points and leveling up in the process! |

There are a few criteria that have to be met in order to participate in the challenge: 1) First, all of your active characters with Cal Ripken's Real Baseball need to be a rookie between levels 0 to 9, if one or more of your characters is not you do not qualify to participate in the challenge. The reason for this is to ensure actual rookies are participating in the challenge instead of seasoned players who have created a rookie character and would like to level him/her up by playing in the challenges. 2) Second, you do not have to register for the Rookie league challenges. The challenges will be hosted at random by the GM’s according to the capacity of the rookie servers. Once the GM’s make an annoucement and games are created, then it will be on a first come first serve basis. There will be a total of 8 teams per challenge, 5 players per team, for a total of 40 players participating per challenge. |

| The challenges are hosted several times a week by GM’s. However, there will be no specific time or date for any particular challenge because they will be created “on the fly” by GM’s. Each challenge will usually last an hour in length, with some exceeding that time limit due to various reasons.

| You can play in the Rookie League Challenge continously as long as all of your active characters are within the level range of 0-9. As soon as one of those characters moves above level 9 then you will not be able to participate in the challenge any longer. At the point of leveling above level 9 you will be ready to play in the next level of tournaments and challenges with the Cal Ripken's Real Baseball Minor Leagues!!

Please visit http://www.portforward.com for information on how to forward the UDP ports. Note: If you don't know your router IP address, you can go to command prompt (Under Programs -> Accessories) window and type in ipconfig and press Enter; the Default Gateway IP should be your router's IP address. | There could be many reasons why this is happening, but there some things that will cause your game to slow down or crash. Many people have virus protection programs that cause your Internet connection to disconnect or log you off a game. In addition firewalls may prevent you from connecting to our server causing your game to crash. It would be beneficial to shut down any and all virus protection (including pop up blockers and add blockers) and firewalls to prevent this from happening. Once you are done playing Cal Ripken's Real Baseball you can turn all of your security programs back on. Another thing to speed up your connection is to close all file sharing programs and instant messengers while playing the game. These may cause your computer to lag while playing Cal Ripken's Real Baseball as messages frequently interrupt communication paths between players. In addition, please make sure you have a strong DSL or broadband Internet connection. A slower connection will surely cause lag in your game or the entire game to crash!
